An interactive tool that applies published Finnish statutory thresholds to the figures you type: the VAT period you are entitled to, whether an auditor must be appointed, the reporting your payroll creates, and the dates everything falls due.

What this tool does, and what it deliberately does not
An estimator on an accountant's website is only useful if you can trust what it is doing. So here it is in plain terms.
It does
- Apply the VAT-period thresholds in the Finnish VAT Act to the turnover you enter.
- Count how many of the three statutory audit thresholds your figures exceed, and say what follows under the Auditing Act.
- List the reporting obligations that arise from having employees or trading with businesses in other EU states.
- Recompute every annual deadline from the month your financial year ends, because in Finland those dates are counted from the year end and not from December.
- Estimate document volume, clearly labelled as an estimate, so you can see the shape of a month's work.
It does not
- Calculate the tax your company owes. That needs your actual figures.
- Estimate a saving. No tool and no adviser can promise you will pay less tax, and anyone showing you a savings number from six inputs is selling something.
- Quote a fee. Fees follow a written scope, after a conversation.
- Replace advice on your company. The thresholds are the common case; extensions, group structures and non-standard financial years change them.
- Send anything anywhere. Nothing you type here leaves your browser.
The statutory audit test is a two-year test: an auditor may be left unappointed only if at most one threshold was exceeded in both the completed financial year and the one before it. This tool can only see the year you type, so treat a "may be omitted" result as a question to check, not an answer.

This estimator applies published Finnish statutory thresholds to the figures you type. It does not calculate tax, it does not quote a fee, and it does not estimate a saving. Its output is a starting point for a conversation, not advice on your company, and the thresholds it uses should be confirmed for your financial year before you rely on them.
